Omura-House is a restaurant near Kyoto University in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto city. As you can tell from the name, it is a restaurant that specializes in preparing "Omurice"(Rice omelet : omelet with a filling of ketchup-seasoned fried rice). There are dozens of varieties of creative selections on the menu using various sauces such as seafood sauce, shrimp sauce, and curry sauce. "Omurice" may have an image of being cuisine for kids, but this is "Omurice" for adults. They all look so tempting and delicious. There are some dishes that are made with ingredients that you can only find in Japan. You have to try them!

I chose the "Omurice" with mushrooms from the varied menu options.

The sauce includes a generous portion of ingredients such as shiitake,  enoki mushroom, mushroom. The eggs are light, fluffy, and wonderfully soft. The rice is slightly on the light side like in a pilaf. Sauce with plenty of mushrooms, light eggs and rice make for a combination that is incredibly delicious!

The inside of the restaurant. I was struck by the speed and efficiency of the workers, as the service at the restaurant was wonderful.
